## captivating: 迷人的 ##

able to hold the attention of someone by being extremely interesting, exciting, pleasant, or attractive

She was captivating in the dress she wore yesterday.

The way the dancers moved was really captivating.

## come into view: 映入眼帘 ##

to become visible

I could see a plane come into view just a few miles away.

## landmark: 地标；标志性建筑 ##

a building or place that is easily visible or recognized

The Rock of Gibraltar is one of Europe’s most famous landmarks.

# Grammar #

## the passive voice of modal verbs ##

情态动词的被动语态是 “情态动词 + be + 及物动词的过去分词”。  
例如，Decision ***shouldn’t be made*** too quickly.

1.  含有must, have to, should的被动语态，表示建议性和必要性。例如，The crew should be prepared to work hard.
2.  含有can和could的被动语态，分别表示现在的能力和过去的能力。例如，The work can be done by tomorrow. It could be seen very clearly last year.
3.  含有could, may和might的被动语态，表示未来的可能性。例如，It could be launched very soon.
